Heroes Con wrap-up part 2

Here are the sketches that I did while at the con. All of these are 8.5"x11", except Banshee which is 2"x3" and Thor which is about 5"x7". Heroes Con is always an amazing time and I recommended  as highly as possible to artists and fans. You will not be disappointed.

Captain's Comic Expo 2016

I had the good fortune to attend Captain's Comic Expo in Charleston recently. It was a great show thanks to Mike and his team. Here are some sketches done for the show or at the show.

As usual let me start by saying BEST. HEROES CON. EVER!!!!

Yes, anyone who attends Heroes Con in anyway, shape or form always says this. It’s the great fans/attendees, it’s the awesome staff and volunteers, it’s all the amazing guests and retailers, it’s all part of what makes Heroes Con so special. For me, this year set a new standard because my family came to the con with me.

Shelton Drum has been very deliberate, and wisely so, in making sure that Heroes is a “family-friendly” convention. I’ve always known that, but never really experienced it as I did this weekend…and by “I,” I mean my wife and kids.

My wife is a civilian, meaning that she didn’t know anything about comics and comic culture until we met, so over the past 12ish years she’s learned a lot. We experimented with attending a small local convention and then stepped it up with Charlotte Mini-Con before going all-in for a three-day show like Heroes. Every single aspect of Heroes was a complete thrill for the kids and by extension for my wife and I. Artists, fans, retailers: If you’ve ever been hesitant about brining small kids to a con, this is the one!!

The scavenger hunt, the Drink-n-Draw/auction, the costume contest, the bounce-house, seeing other artists and friends and buying great and comics…it was all incredible for them. At the of each day, my daughter (7 years old) would say, “This was the most awesome day ever!!!”

What more can a guy ask for?

NYCC 2013

I will be at NYCC 2013 this year for a short period of time, Friday to Saturday. Looks like I'll be on at least one panel on Friday, but possibly more. Beyond that you should be able to track me down via Buddy Scalera's booth at C5. I am intending to do sketches, but we'll see how Friday's panel schedule shakes out. SDCC 2013 Info - booth 5568

I'll be at San Diego Comic Con this year...first time in 11ish years. You can find me at booth 5568, no pages for sale, but I will do sketches.

Con sketches:
Head Sketch = $10
8" x 10" figure = $30 (multiply by number of figures)
11" x 14" to 17" = $45 (multiply by number of figures)

Commissions:
I consider these different from con sketches due to the amount of time invested. Usually done apart from a convention, but I thought I would put the info here anyway.

$75 for single character, pencil and ink drawings at 11"x17"

$50 for each additional character, 4 characters max

No refunds, exchanges, etc. Commission work will begin after receipt of payment. Money orders, cashiers checks and PayPal (I hope) are acceptable forms of payment.

Acceptance of the commission is at my sole discretion. Commissions are not intended for publication, promotional use, etc. If you do intended to use the work for publication or other public, for profit use, standard professional rates will apply.

As of this writing, I am willing to draw characters of your own devising, provided they are not intended for publication. This may change.

Please do not "art direct" the commission. I am certainly happy to have requests be as specific as possible, but the interpretation of the information is up to me.
